Crowns Named

All of the crowns and associated headwear in this section can only be used as proper, that is they cannot be given a different tincture. You can use the word proper after the name if you wish but it is not required.

I have generally tried to use the names of crowns as shown on the wikipedia heraldic crowns page, which can also be used as a source of further information on these crowns. Note that there is some duplication of crowns between countries, especially among counts, barons and so on. Also a small number of the crowns on that page do not have SVG images so I haven't been able to include those.

If you are looking for a simple crown that you can give a colour to then look at the crown generic page.

So that the DrawShield source code is not padded out with hundreds of thousands of lines of SVG code the data for these charges is loaded directly from its original location on the internet (typically, Wikimedia commons). This does mean that it is possible that they will change or not be accessible for some reason. If this happens please let me know via the contact page and I will try to find an alternative source.
