GLASGOW TRADES HOUSE. Parted per fesse argent and gules, on a mount in base an oak tree, the stem at the base thereof surmounted of a salmon on its back with a signet ring in its mouth, on the top of the tree a robin redbreast, and in the sinister fess point an ancient hand-bell all proper. Mantling — Gules doubled argent. Crest — A sheaf of 14 arrows in sheaf, points upwards or, banded azure. Motto — " Union is strength."
