Notes
Suggestion for a new flag of Pennsylvania, revision of thehttps://drawshield.net/gallery/0135/gallery-013552.html after consulting with someone with a better eye for general design (i.e. my wife). Based on the long-standing license plate design for Pennsylvania, which is boring as a license plate but actually a pretty good classic tricolor flag; however, the order of the bands is reversed so the blue is above the yellow, and the central keystone (a classic symbol of Pennsylvania) is changed to black. The three bands can be interpreted as standing for the three elements of Pennsylvania's motto (virtue, liberty, and independence); the black can be interpreted to stand for Pennsylvania's mineral wealth (especially coal and iron). The keystone in this version has been revised to be overall rather than just on the central band, which is less classically correct but a valid design choice.
