Unofficial flag of the continental part of the Canadian province of Newfoundland-and-Labrador. Designed by Member of the House of Assembly Mike Martin, it was first displayed on March 31st 1974. N.B. The charge in dexter chief is actually a Black Spruce (picea mariana) the provinces official tree; I used a juniper-sprig because it resembles the branch on the flag.
