Notes
Uncle of the Emperor, Dietrich was the overlord of a vaste territory, north to Carolingia, delimited by the three rivers of Donau, Torgau, Moldau:in his shield, the five stags stand forthe five castles of Brunnenberg, Stieglitz, Rosenstein, Friesingen and Bromberg. During his reign, Dietrich was active mostly in defending his territories from the Pagan Horde and conducting a careful, well planned marriage strategy for his 6 daughters. His only male son, Heinrich, literally grew up with the Emperor and was commander at arms of the Imperial Army.
