Notes
The ancient family of Baerenreiter founded and owned the small castle of Eichenbaum from generations: the legend says that Alfred, grand-grandfather of Johann Andreas, by following a bear during a hunt, found an oak tree with golden acorns and decided to build a castle around it. The young Johann Andreas, a bold and proud fighter, spent his life hunting and jousting, and sometimes served as a soldier of fortune for richer families of Carolingia.
